King's Group Academies Newsletter - February 2022

February 2022 King’s Group Academies Newsletter KING’S GROUP ACADEMY CENTRAL TEAM Dear Colleagues, I am delighted to be bringing you some exciting news! On 11th February we are launching the KGA Staff Survey - your opportunity to share views and give feedback about working for King’s Group Academies. The answers you give will help us celebrate what is working well and make improvements where they are needed. Understanding the views of staff and then acting upon them is an important part of being a successful organisation. In our survey you can give feedback on a range of topics including; whether communications work how valued you feel as part of the team leadership and management professional support workload safety at work There is also a specific set of questions relating to how we have managed things during the pandemic. Each academy has a Survey Champion who is available to find you help with the survey if you need it. They will also give feedback on the findings. Here are your champions, please feel free to approach them; King’s Academy College Park - Em Bannister-Palmer King’s Academy Binfield & King’s Academy Oakwood - Kate Crockford King’s Academy Prospect - Lucy McCabe King’s Academy Ringmer Sophia Hunnisett King’s Academy Northern Parade - Kelly Rollings On 11th February you will receive a website link sent to your KGA email address. The link will be unique to the staff at your workplace so that we can produce reports for each academy. All you have to do is set aside 15-20 minutes and click on the link from any computer with internet access and complete the survey. Please complete the survey in one go – your answers will not be saved if you leave the survey half way through. Results from the survey will be shared after the Easter Break and action plans will be drawn up where we hear that we need to make a change. Your views count, please take time to participate in the survey and encourage your colleagues to do so too. We want to hear from everyone! If you want to know more, you will find below, some answers to common questions about the survey. I very much look forward to hearing your opinions Lorraine Walsh Director of Human Resources How do I access the survey? On 11th February you will receive an email to your KGA address. The email will share with you a link to a website where you will find the survey. Just click on the link and it will take you to the first page which looks like this: How long does it take to complete the survey? We suggest that you allow approximately 20 minutes, although some people may find it is quicker to complete. It is important that you give yourself enough time because the survey is anonymous which means you cannot return to your answers later. Please complete the survey in one go and click on the finish survey button which looks like this: Will my answers be kept confidential? Yes. We are working with a specialist company called Edurio. Using an external company ensures that confidentiality of respondents is maintained. KGA staff will never see individuals’ results, only anonymised reports. What will you do with the results of the survey? The company running the survey also works with many other organisations in the education sector. This means they can compare the ‘scores’ we get from answers to other academies and schools. We can then see where we are above or below average. This can help us target what we need to plan to make improvements on. We will also be provided with reports for each academy so that local action plans can be drawn up. Who will see the findings from the survey? When the survey closes the findings will be analysed and reports developed for each academy. These reports will be shared with the survey champions and the leadership teams for the academy. They will then be asked to work with staff to develop an action plan to tackle areas of concern and celebrate successes. A Trust version of the survey findings will also be shared with all staff in the Easter publication of this newsletter. Lorraine Walsh
